	~About the Artist~
	Duane K. Zelinka first started making candles as a hobby in 1998 by way of a friend who wanted to show him how simple candles were to make. Duane’s interest was sparked, so he went out and bought everything needed to make candles. He read the instructions, melted his wax on the stove, “wicked” a mold, and poured his first candle in September of that year. When Duane made candles as Holiday gifts for family and friends, the candles were received with joy and praise, increasing his drive to produce more. Then he got the idea to make new candles from old wax. The idea was well accepted; Duane received all kinds of “used” wax from friends and family members and reproduced more candles by reusing and adding some fresh raw wax to the batch. What better way to provide a product by bringing new light to old candles? Candle Exchange was born! With the help of his wife, Kristi, Duane continues to create beautiful candles with both new & old wax. His focus is primarily on candles made with Palm wax, because of the wonderful designs the wax gives life to. This year, Candle Exchange is offering two new lines of Home fragrance products; the "Beauty" line and the "Harmony" line. "Beauty" is a line of flame-free options for home fragrance that was developed by Duane's wife, Kristi. "Harmony" is a line of soy candles made with essential oils that was developed by Duane with his 9-year-old daughter, Harmony. Every candle has something to say… which one speaks to you?
